My process started with an initial phone screen with the recruiter. We also covered what the next steps would look like and discussed practical topics like meeting with the hiring manager and salary expectations.
After that, things stalled completely. I never heard back—no rejection message and no explanation—just silence. I followed up by emailing and reaching out through LinkedIn, but I still didn’t get any closure. Honestly, it was baffling and disappointing because the recruiter had been engaged earlier, and then the communication just disappeared.
