After I applied, the process started with a virtual question screening that felt more like a proctored exam than a conversation. I was asked why I wanted the role and then went through a lot of behavioral prompts. It was awkward more than hard, and I remember wishing it were a more human interaction.

That moved into HireVue again before anything live. Across the early video rounds, the tone wasn’t super technical at first; it was mostly open-ended and structured in a way that didn’t feel like the interviewer was exploring deeply. After those, I landed in a superday setup that was very well run and seamless, with interviewers who seemed focused on understanding my background and the nuances behind it. The technical portion centered on broad financial foundations tied to accounting, basic economic ideas, and lending concepts—each topic was manageable on its own, but it added up to a wider scope than I expected.

My process felt pretty smooth overall, like it was built around the basics and then moved into finance details. I did my first conversations over Zoom, and I ended up speaking with two people in that initial interview. The questions stayed grounded—resume-focused and behavioral, plus some technical check-ins tied to finance and accounting.

After that, the flow kept the same tone: a basic behavioral interview paired with a technical discussion, and at points it sounded like it included group-interview style segments and a superday with multiple rounds. I remember having to answer situation-based questions alongside things like financial statement concepts, and I was also asked to talk through how my background fit the role. One interviewer explicitly asked me to walk through my resume and highlight the parts I wanted to emphasize, and then I went into behavioral themes.
