I went through a quicker-looking process that still ended up feeling a bit random. After an initial home task, I had a short call to arrange the interview and then I took an online technical test round with basic questions. It covered simple math, IP address basics, DNS and DHCP, and there was also a small code-related task. The day of testing was thrown off by an unstable internet connection, so I worried how much of my performance would be affected.

In a different phase of the process, the recruiter stage felt like it involved a group setting and a long stretch of straightforward, almost “school-like” questions that didn’t seem directly tied to QA. Then I got questions that were more relevant—Windows administration, Linux administration, bash, and internet protocol concepts. After completing those pieces, the recruiter time turned into a discussion of the tasks and what I did with them.
