My interviews were unusually easy to get through. The process was mostly about getting to know me—my background, why I was interested, and how my past experience mapped to what the role needed. I didn’t encounter any heavy technical grilling; it was the kind of conversation where the pace stayed friendly and the questions were generally more about fit than puzzle-solving.

After the initial recruiter touchpoint, I went through a small sequence of video interviews. One part of the journey included HR-style questioning with quick, sometimes odd prompts, like figuring out how you’d reason about something everyday (for example, what you’d notice about a light switching off when a door closes). Then I met people from the credit analyst/Operations side, where the tone stayed professional and they asked about scenarios and how I’d handle responsibilities tied to the role.

My process started with an email and quick scheduling for a first conversation where the recruiter got to know me—my background, my goals, and how I’d fit the role. That step felt straightforward and low pressure. After that, I moved into a day with back-to-back Zoom interviews with managers in the Operations side. The questions stayed centered on my experience and how I’d handle situations, including some situational prompts and a focus on behavioral themes; the conversations also flowed in a way that made it feel like the team was genuinely trying to understand how I’d work day to day.

What stood out was how organized the recruiter experience was. I had fast follow-ups, clear information about what came next, and a sense that everyone was trying to keep things moving. The interviewers were consistently welcoming and professional, and even when questions required thinking on the spot, the overall tone stayed constructive rather than combative. References also came into the picture, and I appreciated how the reference-check logistics were handled.
