My process started out with a normal application rhythm, but it immediately ran into scheduling chaos. After about a week I got an interview invitation, only for the recruiter Zoom to be postponed because of an IT issue. I waited for the reschedule that never came, and even after I followed up twice, nothing moved.
Later, I ran into another frustrating communication breakdown—during a recruiter call the audio problems made it hard to follow what was being said, and the call continued despite repeating the issue. I also experienced a version of the process where the recruiter canceled last minute and then rescheduled, but the interaction didn’t lead anywhere; I was told to expect follow-up later and then I got left hanging.

Average Positive Mountain View, CA
After I applied, the process moved in a pretty structured rhythm. I first talked with a recruiter, then I went into several interview rounds focused heavily on my background and how I’d approached past projects. When I got to the take-home stage, it was straightforward but still felt like the real gateway: it was a Unity-based task where I built a very simple project, and then later I had to walk through my solution and make live changes during the interview.
Over the next set of conversations, I had multiple 45-minute sessions with different people, including team members and more experienced interviewers. The format blended coding and broader discussion of my experience, with an emphasis on communication as I explained tradeoffs and reasoning. There wasn’t much classic LeetCode pressure—what mattered more was how I connected what I’d done to the team’s needs.
