I had a fairly laid-back interview with two pleasant interviewers. The conversation included questions about my strengths and weaknesses, and we also talked about what hours I was interested in. It felt more comfortable than many interviews, and it didn’t drag into awkward back-and-forth.
The technical portion was pretty easy to answer, with only a few technical questions asked during the session. Salary wasn’t discussed in that meeting since it was handled by HR later, and HR was described as friendly. The timeline to hear back felt about normal—around two weeks for them to respond.

I met three people over lunch, and it felt less like a structured interview and more like an informal hangout. One of them had my resume pulled up on a BlackBerry, while the others seemed to be there partly for the free meal and partly to get a read on whether I would “fit” in the office. The conversation had enough inside jokes that I didn’t really catch what was going on, and honestly it felt intentional—like they were testing how quickly I’d notice I was the outsider.
The actual questions ended up being pretty light. The interview leaned toward very basic, CCNA-level topics, which surprised me because the requisition I’d applied to suggested a much more challenging role. Overall the process didn’t feel rigorous; it was mostly fluff, with the technical parts coming in far below what I expected.
