Average Positive Tallinn

I went through a fairly multi-round process and it moved through several different interview styles. I ended up with around four or five rounds total, and I felt like the conversations generally went well. The interview set included a front-end-focused session, a test, an algorithm interview, a database interview, and then an engineering manager conversation.

What stood out to me was how many different angles they covered across those rounds—front-end, structured tests, core algorithm work, and then databases—so I wasn’t just dealing with one technical lane. The engineering manager portion was conversational enough that I could clearly communicate my background and how I thought about work.

Average Negative Madrid

I started with a recruiter conversation where we went over the role and the company, and I felt comfortable enough to move forward. About that point, I was also pushed into a HackerRank technical test at a beginner-to-intermediate level.

After the coding test, my process continued with four interviews alongside PMs and people from the team. The part that really surprised me was a design and architecture interview focused heavily on server and cloud considerations. The problem was that the requirements I was given didn’t reference needing that kind of backend depth, and it didn’t feel aligned with what I understood the role was supposed to emphasize. I also didn’t get much context about what the interviewer was trying to evaluate, which made it hard to prepare in a targeted way.
