Average Positive Bengaluru

My process felt unusually structured from the start. It began with a take-home written test, followed by an HR discussion and then a manager review. After that, I moved into three technical rounds plus a bar-raiser round, so the interviewers weren’t just checking skills—they were building a full picture of how I worked.

During the later stages, the bar-raiser felt like a clearer signal that they cared about how I framed problems and communicated tradeoffs, not just whether the final code was correct. The rounds also emphasized setting up the context of the problem well, and I could tell the interviewers wanted me to explain the scenario as I went.

Difficult Positive Bogota, Cundinamarca

I went through a pretty structured process that still felt a bit relentless, and I ended up doing far more than I expected. After the recruiter reached out, I had multiple interviews with peers, including a round to check alignment with Twilio’s “magic” values and a bar-raiser-style evaluation. Scheduling felt flexible and the team was clear at each step, but the overall difficulty stayed high—especially a difficult technical test that set the tone for the rest of the loop.

The next part was a system design study with a panel format, and that’s where things felt the most uncertain for me. I remember being told I’d have a final answer within a few days, yet it felt like they were still moving through candidates. A week later, the recruiter call brought the hard news: it was very close and came down to the panel result, with someone else getting the offer. Even after that, seeing who ended up being selected lingered as a painful surprise.
