My process started with an HR/recruiter conversation, then I had a hiring manager round that felt fairly relaxed. I got asked general CS-style topics and web fundamentals—things like HTTP status codes, plus questions about how CDNs work—along with discussion of my AWS experience and general background.
After that, the technical portion moved into a more traditional structure: a technical interview that mixed theory and practical coding. I remember being asked about data structures and a JavaScript-related challenge, and then doing multiple coding questions in a format similar to LeetCode/Coderbyte. The set included classic problem types like parentheses matching, a React-style switch/toggle task, and an SQL “group by” style query. The pace was structured and the difficulty felt overall average, but it depended heavily on getting the coding implementation right quickly.

My timeline followed a pretty classic pipeline: I started with a career fair chat, then moved into a phone-screen interview. After that came a take-home coding challenge, and that part actually set the tone for the whole process. Following the take-home, I went into the on-site where the pace was intense—multiple back-to-back rounds, essentially crammed into a few hours.
At the on-site, the format mixed technical problem-solving with coding, and it alternated between more algorithmic business-style questions and whiteboard-style coding. The questions didn’t feel overly exotic, and the interviewers were consistently nice, which helped me keep momentum even when I was running on a tight schedule.
