My experience started with a recruiter reaching out after I applied, and scheduling quickly seemed possible at first. I set up the initial call, but the follow-through felt sloppy—no clear confirmation and later I found out they were away, which didn’t help. On the day of the meeting, the recruiter was late and didn’t really address it. I still got through the first phone interview and then had a video conversation with the hiring manager that lasted about 45 minutes.
After that, the process fell apart in the most frustrating way: silence. I expected follow-up, but nothing happened, and it stretched for weeks and eventually months. I sent follow-up emails and even reached out through LinkedIn to both the recruiter and the hiring manager without getting responses. The recruiter had indicated they would circle back soon, so the lack of communication felt especially disappointing and unprofessional.
