I took a three-question DSA coding exam, and I felt pretty confident going in because I’d been doing LeetCode for fun for years. The exam itself went in line with that confidence, so when I later learned they weren’t going to proceed with my application due to my assessment scores, it really threw me off.
I tried to ask for more details about what went wrong, but I never got meaningful feedback after that. Eventually, the recruiter stopped responding, so I was left without a clear explanation.

My first touch was a call with the recruiter where we talked about how my personal goals aligned with the company’s mission. After that, I was sent an assessment link. The assessment questions were discussed with an interviewer, and we went through what an optimal solution would look like.
From there, I talked through my previous co-op or full-time experience and answered some behavioral questions. I didn’t end up getting an offer, but that early stage left me with the impression that they cared about both motivation and how I could explain my experience clearly.
