My interview didn’t feel carefully organized from the start. The conversation was very unstructured, and it came across like the people running it weren’t properly prepared. Questions were general and at times even felt contradictory, and there wasn’t a clear sense of what the role really expected from me.

By the end, the whole experience felt chaotic and not very professional. I left without any positive momentum, and I ultimately wasn’t offered the position.

After a recruiter touchpoint, I moved into a fairly extended loop that centered on multiple technical and non-technical parts. I remember it as a long, high-effort sequence where the emphasis kept landing on how I structured my thinking, not just whether I got to a correct answer. The loop included project discussion, system design work, and live coding, and it also pulled in behavioral and managerial topics.

The biggest challenge for me was system design. I spent a lot of time trying to be clear, but even with that, they didn’t feel I met expectations. During the deeper coding portion, I was tested on C++ more specifically—things like how to reason through STL, memory management, smart pointers, and a few C++-adjacent details. The managerial segment felt closer to being anchored in what was on my resume, and the behavioral questions were interwoven across the loop rather than being a completely separate warm-up.
