Difficult Positive India

My process felt pretty tough from the start. I ran into a DSA-heavy setup where the focus was on data structures and algorithms, plus general programming and problem-solving. The interviewer also threw in Java-related questions, and it felt like I had to keep switching gears between coding and reasoning.

I ended up going through three rounds total. The first round was labeled as basic DSA, then the next one shifted to advanced problems and more involved problem solving. By the time I reached the later stages, the difficulty had definitely increased, and that overall strain made the whole experience feel difficult even though the format itself was straightforward.

My interview lasted about an hour, but it didn’t really feel like a proper interview. The interviewer didn’t come prepared and seemed disconnected, like they were only there to satisfy a process requirement. Questions were vague and abstract, and when I asked for more detail, they didn’t have anything to add.

It was hard to stay engaged because the interviewer also looked very sleepy, and the whole atmosphere felt low effort rather than evaluative. I walked away feeling like I hadn’t really been given a fair chance to demonstrate anything. I didn’t receive an offer, and the emptiness of the interaction was the main thing I remember.
