The final step was the one that stood out: a two-hour panel with engineers from the team I’d be joining. The panel setup was pretty structured—at first it felt like a mix of behavioral and technical questions for about 30 minutes, and then it shifted into a code challenge focused on building a UI component.
The panel kept moving. At the one-hour mark, the interviewers rotated so I got to meet additional team members—one more experienced and one newer engineer—while they continued questioning me. For the last stretch, it was more technical/behavioral discussion for another 30 minutes, followed by a second coding portion. That later code work leaned heavily on JavaScript: writing functions that could sort or map over data. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, took time to introduce themselves, and answered my questions patiently, which made the whole day feel surprisingly positive even though I didn’t end up getting an offer.
