Average Positive London, England

I went through a process that felt deliberately structured around multiple kinds of technical judgment calls. After the initial scheduling and recruiter coordination, I hit a systems design session, then two problem-solving interviews that were more about reasoning through constraints than memorizing patterns. The most distinctive part was a debugging/refactoring interview specifically focused on the front end, which forced me to work through fixing and improving an existing direction rather than building from scratch.

At the end, there was a call to discuss feedback, which made the whole thing feel more closed-loop than many interviews I’ve heard about. The overall difficulty sat in an average range for me; nothing felt like a trick, but the variety of formats meant I couldn’t rely on just one strength.

Average Positive New York, NY

My journey started with a big take-home assignment, then moved into a code review of what I submitted. After that, I had an onsite round with four interviews. Everyone I met was friendly and the conversations felt genuinely good—these weren’t hostile sessions, and the interviewers came across as personable.

The part I wasn’t prepared for was the compensation reality at the end. I ended up declining the offer because their pay was lower than what I was already earning. I was honestly surprised they even got that far, because the interview bar and overall process felt like it was operating at a very high level.
