After I applied, I ended up doing a phone screen with a recruiter where they basically walked through my background and focused on how my sales experience would translate to the role. The questions were pretty standard—why I wanted the job, how I’d help customers, and how I handle objections or difficult situations. There was a lot of emphasis on being confident, self-starting, and able to describe a real example where I pushed past a customer objection with specific details about how the sale played out.

Then the process moved into manager interviews. I met with a store manager (and later a district manager), and it felt fairly quick and organized compared to what I expected. The manager conversation leaned behavioral, with deeper prompts where I had to explain my decision-making and what I did in the moment. In some rounds I also got realistic, scenario-style questions—what I would do, how I’d approach the situation, and how comfortable I was dealing with customers and objections. It also helped that the vibe was often described as warm and relaxed, more like a conversation with questions mixed in.

I went through a more assessment-heavy path than the usual conversational screens. After the initial contact, I was given a problem-solving style questionnaire/interview where I had to think through a scenario and explain what I’d do. The whole thing felt focused on whether I could reason through situations rather than just talk about past experiences.

Then the hiring team narrowed it down through multiple rounds with leaders—store manager level interviews repeated across more than one site, with a district manager involved as well. Each round still kept the questions practical, but I had to make my reasoning clear and show confidence in how I’d handle real-day problems. The process felt straightforward overall.
