I found the whole interview to be pretty laid back and human. The conversations centered on my background and what I’d accomplished—basically making sure I really knew my biggest achievements rather than giving them vague summaries. The tone felt like the interviewers genuinely wanted to talk through my work instead of just running a script.
Even when technical questions showed up, they weren’t framed as a gotcha. Most of what I felt was trying to happen was to understand how I’d worked and how I think about problems, especially with the context that I was on the earlier side of my career. The interview ended up feeling comfortable and not overly stressful.

After applying online, I heard back quickly enough that the recruiter reached out within about a week. I talked with them for roughly half an hour, and then they pulled in the hiring manager so the next conversation could focus on what the manager cared about from my resume and cover letter. A few days later I had a phone interview with the hiring manager, and immediately after that I was set up for the big in-person day.
That in-person interview ran from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and felt intense mostly because of the number of people involved—about three to five interviewers throughout the day, plus a longer technical presentation element. I delivered a one-hour technical presentation built around my work, then the remainder of the day shifted into interviews that drilled deeper into both my experience and my technical understanding. The technical questions weren’t always immediate; some took a couple of minutes to think through, but I could tell the goal was to see whether I could explain my reasoning clearly and land in the right direction even when it got challenging.
