Difficult Negative Shenzhen, Guangdong

My interview loop consisted of three technical rounds, each about 60 minutes. The style was detailed rather than concept-heavy: they didn’t start by asking for high-level definitions as much as they asked how I would implement things and why the approach worked.

The first tech round didn’t start with a coding problem, but coding showed up in the second and third rounds. Across all three, the questions focused on depth and practical reasoning—how I’d build, step by step, and what tradeoffs I understood.

My process felt fairly straightforward and well organized. It started with a phone screen with HR where we went over my background and experience, mostly at a high level.

After that, I was given a technical assessment that included a few coding challenges. It wasn’t framed like a huge gauntlet, just a direct test of whether my fundamentals held up.
