I met with two managers first, and the conversation was direct: they asked questions and then made a hiring decision right after. After that, HR interviewed me, but that HR step felt limited—more like confirming that my salary expectations were acceptable rather than re-evaluating the technical side.
In the end, I didn’t get an offer. What stuck with me was how compressed and decision-focused the manager stage was, followed by an HR conversation that didn’t feel like it could change the result.

My process started with a phone interview, and then it moved into on-site discussions. I ended up doing interviews across two engineering teams—one focused on radio planning and the other on network planning—before deciding which path fit best. The whole thing felt friendly and not particularly adversarial.
The questions weren’t very tricky, and the theme was pretty clear: they wanted to hear my reasoning for wanting to work there and why it made sense to me at that time. Since the focus was on “why Telefónica/why now” rather than puzzle-style problems, I could keep the conversation anchored in my background and motivations.
