After a recruiter call, I ended up with a technical screen where the focus was less on my exact language background and more on whether I truly understood networking fundamentals. I got asked about networking concepts directly, and the interviewer also pulled interesting bits from my resume—Docker, VMs, and AWS came up—so it felt like they were checking both depth and how I connected the concepts to real systems.
The same thread continued when the questions moved deeper: I was asked to explain layered networking ideas, and I had to answer Java-related core questions too, not just buzzwords. Then the conversation shifted into circuit/power basics like Ohm’s law and core concepts from circuits and power systems, and even threw in OOPs and small coding exercises like handling a palindrome and similar logic problems. Overall it felt moderately difficult, and even though the topics were wide-ranging, it was clear they cared about fundamentals more than the “perfect” answers.

Difficult Negative Bengaluru
I was shortlisted from my resume and then went straight into an interview round. I felt like I performed well and expected the process to continue, and I actually received a message indicating I had been selected for the next hiring manager round.
But right after that, the communication broke down—HR stopped picking up calls when I tried to coordinate the next step. The difficulty felt more like an outcome/communication issue than a technical challenge.
