Average Positive London, England

I went through a pretty compact set of stages: a screening first, then a technical interview, followed by a take-home task, and finally a conversation with the Head of Engineering. What stood out immediately was how smooth it felt overall—no awkward whiteboard session and no algorithm marathon. The questions were grounded in the stack and how the work actually fits together, and the technical side felt focused on quality rather than trickiness.

The take-home was the main “real” work element of the process, but it didn’t come across as there just to add friction. Across the rounds, the communication felt clear and the interviewers asked thoughtful questions that matched what they said they were evaluating. By the time I reached the final talk, everything felt coherent rather than scattered.
