Difficult Positive Canada

I had a recruiter screening first, then moved into rounds that became stressful fast. One early HR-style conversation went smoothly and felt carefully managed, but when I hit a pair-programming style interview, communication became a real issue—the interviewer’s English was hard to follow due to a strong accent, and I struggled to catch about half of what was being said.

Later in the process, the overall experience turned tense in a different way. I dealt with scheduling chaos and cancellations right before some interviews, and a bunch of the interviewers felt extremely quiet and guarded, like an interrogation rather than a conversation. Even after I got a rejection email, the feedback call didn’t include the kind of specific reason that would’ve helped—just generic statements.

Difficult Negative New York, NY

My interview started with an easy React round, but the next stage got rough quickly. I was moved into a full day of interviews centered around a debugging question that I found genuinely difficult.

The debugging portion also didn’t come with much support to help me walk through it, and the whole day was all virtual. The interviewers came across as a bit rude, and I didn’t enjoy the experience at all.
