My process started with a HireVue video interview where the whole flow was time-boxed and pretty unforgiving. I’d read each prompt, think, and then record my answer on camera with very limited total time, and there weren’t any chances to ask clarifying questions. The behavioral questions were pretty standard, but the real pressure came from what they tacked on near the end: a coding challenge that had to be completed inside the same constrained window.
I remember how different it felt from normal live coding—more than anything, I struggled with the environment itself. The editor wasn’t explained, and I had to work within an existing code scaffold without the guidance I’m used to getting. I debated giving up because figuring out the setup consumed more energy than the algorithmic part did, but I pushed through and got the provided test cases to pass.

Average Neutral United States
My interview path felt fairly standard and not especially punishing. After the initial HireVue-style step, I ended up in a couple of live conversations that focused more on how I thought than on trick questions. The technical round was described as a fit check against the team’s tech stack, and it turned into questions that tested my background knowledge without turning into a big coding contest.
Across the live rounds, the tone was welcoming, and the panelists were friendly about it. I talked through my resume and got behavioral questions in STAR form, and there was at least one coding moment where I worked through a problem just to show how I code rather than aiming to finish perfectly. The live discussion also veered into my prior work and even interests, which made the whole thing feel less like an interrogation.
