My path started through campus recruiting and it happened quickly after I engaged with the process at a school event. I was invited to interview right after, and the setup felt geared toward speed—separate quick conversations rather than a long sequence.
At one interview, the main thing I faced was a simple thinking question written in pseudocode. I was still fairly early in my studies at the time, and that made the question feel harder to land confidently. At another school-driven setup, I ended up being funneled into short sessions with different interviewers: one was mostly general personality questions, and the other involved writing code on paper based on a task they gave.

My first real step was a phone screen done through a HireVue-style setup. It felt fairly straightforward because it was structured and I could record and reattempt my answers as many times as I wanted. The screen included multiple-choice questions plus short response items, and there were also multiple video-recorded questions where I had to answer directly on camera.
After that, I ended up moving into a video recording phase again—another chance to respond to questions in the same self-recorded format. The day-of experience didn’t feel stressful, but it was definitely more draining than a live conversation since I couldn’t naturally steer the discussion or clarify things in real time. By the end of the recording stages, I hadn’t progressed further to an in-person technical conversation.
