After a recruiter call, I got pulled into a pretty structured sequence. I started with a discussion meant to align my background with customer-facing technical work, then moved into a manager conversation focused more on how I liked to work and how I collaborated with leaders. From there, I had a peer interview that leaned technical, including a security angle, and then I ended with a broader panel where I demoed the product.
The product demo stood out because it wasn’t just talking—there was a simulated customer setting where I had to walk through how Snyk would be used and explain the use cases clearly. Earlier rounds also felt deliberate: there was a strong emphasis on understanding what the product does, not just generic coding ability. Even when the technical parts were deep, the panel overall stayed patient and kind.

My sequence was quick and pretty efficient, starting with a recruiter call and then moving into a hiring manager discussion. After that, I was pulled into an additional conversation with someone in a similar role, and the last step was a panel presentation.
The panel presentation was different from a typical engineering interview because I had to take on a solutions-engineer style role and present Snyk products as if I was addressing customers. The emphasis felt practical: they wanted to see how I talked through the product value and used cases, not just whether I could solve problems on the spot.
