Average Negative United States

My recruiter experience was the first big problem. After an initial screening call, I was told a technical round would be scheduled, but then there was a week of silence and I later got a generic rejection email instead. The timing and lack of communication made it feel like the process was already over.

In another run, I showed up on time for a scheduled screening and the recruiter simply never joined the call. That wasted my time and left me with nothing to hold onto, even though I’d been online and ready.

Difficult Positive London, England

I went through a multi-stage process that ended in something close to a panel-style case study. It started with an online assessment, then moved into multiple rounds until the final step where I had to walk through a client problem they’d faced before. I expected to do a demo and then answer follow-up questions to show how I’d reason and operate under that scenario.

The take-home style work I saw in a similar path was also very structured: a CodeSignal take-home with four stages, moving from a coding task to refactoring backend code with tests, then into a system design question about database synchronization, and finally a behavioral conversation. That format made it clear they weren’t just checking whether I could solve one isolated problem, but whether I could build, verify, and explain decisions end to end.
