When I asked for specifics on what disqualified me, I was given an explanation that didn’t even align with what I remembered being discussed.
I also had a hiring-manager conversation where the tone felt more confrontational than collaborative. I was asked to persuade a marketing director from my prior company to partner with Snap, and then I got pushed on strategy—like which companies Snap should target next, beyond existing partners. What threw me off was how intense the expectations felt, and I left feeling like the conversation crossed into “work it out as if you owe us consulting labor” rather than a normal interview.
