Difficult Positive Amsterdam

After the initial screening call, I moved through a pretty structured multi-stage process over several weeks. I first spoke with the HR recruiter, then interviewed with the hiring manager where it split into both behavioral and a technical code-review style component. After that, there was a LeetCode-style coding round where I had to work through problems in a classic interview format.

The final stage was a full onsite day that felt intense but organized. I had to present past projects with a Q&A in front of a panel, and the day also included multiple behavioral conversations: one grounded in company values and another focused on teamwork and collaboration. Between those, I talked to other engineers and managers in separate one-on-one sessions. The technical portion on the onsite day leaned into system design, so it wasn’t just remembering trivia—it was more about how I’d reason through architecture and tradeoffs.

Difficult Neutral San Diego, CA

I started with an HR screening that was heavily centered on values, culture fit, and general background. The conversation pulled at why I cared about the mission and how I saw myself aligning with what they were building, then shifted into behavioral questions about teamwork, ownership, and how I handled problems.

After that, the process kept moving over the next few weeks. I had an initial discussion with the hiring manager focused on the job and my resume, followed by a 1.5-hour coding screening. Then I went through a more technical interview that dug into my experiences on my resume.
