After the recruiter reached out and got everything scheduled, I ended up in a process that felt pretty straightforward early on, but the ending left a bad taste. The early conversation with HR framed what they wanted from me more around behavioral themes—how I handled conflict and complex problems—rather than a deep dive into technical details.
I then moved through a hiring-manager conversation and a final round where it was clear they were moving for a decision. Communication felt normal while I was actively interviewing, but things broke down after the last step. I was left waiting without clarity and only got pulled back in much later for feedback about the process. In the middle of all that, I also had moments where the leadership interviewer seemed disengaged, and the overall discussion didn’t feel focused on the role or my strengths.
