After applying, I got an initial recruiter screen and things seemed to be moving—then communication fell apart. I received an automated rejection notice, but later I was contacted again when the recruiter reached out personally and asked for a call to discuss an update on my process. I responded quickly, even following up again the same day, and then I didn’t hear anything back.
When I finally reached out again days later, I still got no response. The silence stood out because the recruiter had specifically initiated contact, and that made the ghosting feel especially disappointing. The lack of closure was tough, since I was left not knowing whether something had changed, whether I’d missed a step, or whether the process was simply over.

Average Positive Los Angls AFB, CA
My process felt refreshingly straightforward and well organized. It began with a recruiter screen, and then I moved quickly into a hiring manager conversation. The recruiter was warm and made the scheduling and handoff feel seamless, which set a good tone right away.
After that first discussion, I went into a hiring manager round that was thorough and engaged. I remember the interviewer being prepared and moving through the conversation in a natural way, and I didn’t feel like I was being grilled or rushed. The whole sequence felt like it was designed to learn about my background without unnecessary drama.
