My experience started out fine, then the process really took a turn. The recruiter conversation felt polite and engaged, and I thought I was in a good place. But by the time I got to the round with sales managers, everything went downhill fast.
In that second-round call, the managers seemed unprepared and even contradicted their own prep guidance. I’d been told to focus on simple objection handling and not to worry about product knowledge, yet the scenarios they gave me were the kind where the only way to respond convincingly was with deeper, specific product details. One manager also shifted the interview into something personal and condescending, questioning my motivations and framing them as not “deep” enough for the role. The expectation management felt completely off, and it made me question whether the process was actually about assessing my sales skills or something else.
