Remote

I went through a pretty structured loop at ServiceNow that ended up being four rounds overall, with two managers involved along with a senior and a staff engineer. The process felt manager-led and fairly methodical, and I remember the early conversations setting the tone for what they were evaluating me on.

As I moved through the stages, I had conversations that went beyond just a casual chat—by the time I reached the later rounds, I could feel that the interviewers were actively trying to validate both my experience and how I thought through technical work. I also went into the loop already knowing it was for a senior software engineering track, and at some point I learned I was being considered for a higher-level systems-engineer direction too.

I spent time trying to understand what the interview process would look like at ServiceNow—especially for staff and senior tracks—and what kind of questions typically show up. My notes also included that I was coordinating upcoming interviews for developer-focused roles.

Because the information I captured was mostly high-level process intent rather than actual interview content, I can’t reliably describe the exact sequence or the questions asked, but the overall theme was trying to reduce uncertainty about format and evaluation criteria before the calls.
