I started with a video call that lasted about 45 minutes. The conversation was technical from the start, with a mix of standard technical questions and some coding-style tasks they asked me to complete.

About a week after that, I went to BYU for an in-person round. Before the interview, they gave me roughly a week to do a take-home challenge. When I arrived, we went through the take-home together, and then they had me do another coding challenge. That in-person session also included a couple whiteboard questions, on top of the usual interview prompts. What stood out to me was how often the questions pushed for “tell me about a time when…” examples compared to what I’m used to.
