Negative Canada

My experience started with scheduling, but it quickly fell apart through execution gaps. I exchanged emails with the recruiter and got an interview time set. On the day of the meeting, the recruiter never showed up, and I only received a “thanks, no thanks” style note much later—about three months afterward—without any real explanation.

Other parts of my process matched that pattern of things not aligning. I also ran into situations where the interview attempt seemed to be acknowledged, but then no one followed through, and an automated “candidacy not retained” message arrived after delays. Even when I showed up in person, I experienced last-minute confusion—waiting at reception while the scheduled interviewer was unreachable or not available, then being told to reschedule with no meaningful follow-through.

Difficult Positive Canada

My process was heavier than I expected because of what happened before the final conversation. I started with interviews focused on fit, and then the second round became the big Salesforce demo. I had to learn Salesforce material from Trailblazer-style resources, and I was given a sheet of instructions about a week ahead. The expectation was that I’d build something from that prep and present it like I was advising a client.

The demo itself was the hardest part. I spent a long time preparing and configuring my Salesforce setup, to the point where it felt like a real mini-project. During the presentation there was role-play and Q&A, and the pressure came from needing to show both technical capability and how I connected it to business needs. After the demo, I moved into the last round where the focus shifted to cultural fit and being yourself.
