My process started with a recruiter call, and right after that I moved into a technical screen centered on a practical rate-limiting problem. The on-site followed a similar shape: a coding interview plus two system design discussions, along with behavioral and a culture-style interview.
I remember being especially focused during the technical parts, but the tone in at least one system design conversation really threw me off. The interviewer came across as cold and disrespectful, and the dynamic made it hard to feel like I could steer the discussion productively. When I asked later for feedback on what would’ve made my answers better, I didn’t get any helpful direction back, which was frustrating because I’d already spent time working through the loop.

After applying, I got a CodeSignal a few weeks later, then a recruiter call/screen showed me more about the company and what the process looked like. From there, I made it into a final round loop that combined coding, system design, and behavioral. The coding portion felt like a pretty standard LeetCode-style problem, and the system design round was tied to the product in a way that made it feel more grounded than generic architecture questions.
The whole thing felt smooth. People were generally friendly and responsive, and the interviewers seemed genuinely engaged. The hardest part for me ended up being the work itself, not the vibe—when I didn’t move forward, it wasn’t because anyone was unprofessional, it was because I wasn’t a match based on how the technical discussion went.
