Average Positive United Kingdom

I went through a tougher, Investment-Banking-shaped path that felt more interview-school than casual screening. It started with a first round where behavioural and technical questions came together, and I later had a superday with multiple short back-to-back conversations. Some people on the superday were asking for role-specific technical knowledge while others stayed more behavioural, but it consistently tested whether I understood what was going on in the market rather than just memorizing definitions.

A big moment for me was getting pushed on a stock pitch and on industry multiples—questions that required more coherent reasoning than I expected. I also saw valuation-style technicals come up, and when energy or broader industry context was discussed, it stayed tied to the fundamentals of what’s happening. I walked away feeling encouraged overall by how the process ran, but I also knew I hadn’t been fully able to land every technical thread. I didn’t receive an offer, and reflecting on it, the hardest part wasn’t the structure—it was keeping my technical answers grounded and specific under pressure.
