I went through a Codility test first and then moved into live rounds. The coding part was about medium complexity, but the real difficulty came from the way the interview and subsequent technical questions were framed around concurrency and correctness under pressure.

In the first technical interview, I had to review code and point out issues like the use of certain React patterns and potential problems with logic inside lifecycle hooks. Then the final technical interview split across two interviewers: I was asked to design an API based on a requirement that was confusing enough that it felt like it was trying to trap me. When I gave answers, the interviewers seemed to contradict each other, and even when I believed I was right, the back-and-forth left me uncertain about what they were actually evaluating.

After a short recruiter call, I was pulled into a coding test through Codility and then moved through a couple of interviews on a pretty tight timeline—under a month overall. The take-home felt straightforward on paper: one part was about fixing failing tests until everything passed, and the other was implementing a simple CRUD controller. I remember getting tripped up by how the test expectations were worded and labeled, and even after I submitted, there was some ambiguity around naming. I also gave feedback with a screenshot pointing out what I believed was an incorrect test case, but I didn’t get any follow-up or clarification.

Next came a technical interview that felt broad rather than narrow. I talked through backend topics first, including system design: I was given a set of requirements and asked to design a service, then got questioned on the choices I made. After that, I shifted into frontend-related technical questions. Earlier, during the shorter 45-minute conversation, I’d already covered background and interests, and they also spent time explaining specifics of the product and role, with some technical discussion sprinkled in.
