I ended up doing an on-campus day with a pretty tight sequence. After the OA, I had three back-to-back rounds with the same set of people. The first technical interview focused on DSA at an easy-to-medium level, plus resume understanding and general CS fundamentals.

Next came the second technical round, which leaned into system design and database design. There was also SQL querying and discussion of a programming approach, with some emphasis on current industry knowledge including AI. The last part of the day was a hiring manager conversation—mostly about my background, projects, communication, and whether I fit what they were looking for—followed by the HR part considering the overall fit.

My interview was very JavaScript-focused, with the goal of testing how deep I really understood the language. A big chunk was about core JS concepts and how JavaScript works under the hood. They didn’t just ask definitions—they pushed on details like object creation and how objects behave when assigned or passed around.

I got questions that compared call by value versus call by reference, plus topics like hoisting and function creation. There were also checks on what outputs would be when variables or object properties changed, especially when assigning values from one thing to another. The questions felt designed to reveal whether I could predict behavior, not just recognize terminology.
