My interview started with a pretty straightforward intro where I was asked to talk through my working experience. After that, I moved into a live coding round where I had to implement an LRU cache in the language I chose, on a Zoom whiteboard. There was no word completion help at all, so I was writing everything out from scratch. It felt like a focused test of fundamental data structure implementation rather than anything abstract.
My process started with the recruiter reaching out, and I first spoke with them by phone before moving into a technical screen. That round centered on a medium LeetCode-style coding problem, plus a handful of basic thread-related questions. It also surprised me that the conversation included a lot of C++-focused questions even though I was planning to code in C++.
