After talking with a recruiter, I moved into a community-focused sequence that felt purpose-built for the role. The first deeper round was with people from the Community team, and the conversation centered on community management and creator relations—how I’d respond when situations went differently than expected, and how I thought about maintaining relationships with both creators and the broader audience.
A timed written assessment followed through CoderPad. I had to work through community management scenarios and also write creator/community-focused content tied to Rockstar’s FiveM and RedM communities. That part surprised me with how much of it wasn’t just “technical,” but about tone and judgment. The final step was a conversational interview with senior members of Community Operations, where the focus shifted back toward my experience, collaboration, problem-solving, and genuine passion for gaming communities.

Average Positive United Arab Emirates
My path started with an initial coding test that covered Java, Spring Boot, and SQL, along with some problem-solving prompts. The questions felt like a practical check across the stack, and I had to do actual work rather than just talk.
After that, there was a screening step and then a technical discussion with senior people. That part leaned more into clarifying how I approached problems and how I’d think through solutions, not just whether I could solve the coding exercise. The overall difficulty felt average for the technical rounds, and while it didn’t result in an offer, the process itself felt straightforward enough.
