I got contacted through LinkedIn, and the whole process moved quickly. The first round was basic and then they gave me a take-home assignment, which they ran through a tool called Filtered.ai. The second round was a video interview where they asked about what I had completed in that assignment.

What surprised me was how much they focused on the code itself rather than the reasoning behind it. It also felt like they had a pretty narrow idea of what “correct” looked like, so if my solution didn’t match their preconceived style, it hurt my chances. Even though everyone was respectful, the rejection feedback felt made up and didn’t match my actual experience. That mismatch is what stuck with me most, because it made the process feel arbitrary once they decided.
