I went through three rounds and they were surprisingly brief. It started with a short phone screen, then moved to a manager round, and finally an engineer round. Everyone I spoke with felt very nice, and the conversations stayed conversational rather than turning into formal technical testing.

What stood out was that there weren’t any formal technical tests at all. Instead, the interviews gave me a lot of insight into company culture and the work environment, which made the process feel more human than academic.

My interview was pretty good and stayed in the easy-to-manage lane. Most of the questions were basics like start date, availability, and projects. Beyond that, they asked why Renesas, why I was a strong fit for the role, and what made them want to hire me.

It didn’t feel like there was a complicated technical gauntlet, and the tone stayed straightforward. The conversation helped me align my background to what the role seemed to need.
