My interview journey leaned heavily toward fundamentals before getting to typical coding practice. Only after that did the dreaded coding portion show up. I also saw a good amount of cultural fit and behavioral questions mixed in, along with system design, and overall the interviewers were friendly enough that it didn’t feel adversarial—it just felt like I had to be sharp across a wide range of topics.
