My interview journey leaned heavily toward fundamentals before getting to typical coding practice. I discussed web concepts like the difference between GET and POST and also covered security topics such as XSS. Then the questions moved into core computer science—what a hash table is and what data structure I’d choose if I were working under memory constraints.

Only after that did the dreaded coding portion show up. I ended up doing LeetCode-style problems that, looking back, weren’t impossibly hard, but I definitely struggled with how I performed under pressure. I also saw a good amount of cultural fit and behavioral questions mixed in, along with system design, and overall the interviewers were friendly enough that it didn’t feel adversarial—it just felt like I had to be sharp across a wide range of topics.
