I went through a pretty straightforward three-part loop. My first interaction was an initial screening interview that focused on my background, the projects I’d worked on, and how clearly I could communicate what I’d done. After that, about a week later, I had a technical round centered on JavaScript—there were questions around Promises and even JavaScript behavior tied to this, plus a small UI layout task where I needed to create things like a sidebar, a header, and scrollable sections.
The process then wrapped with an HR round. That conversation was mostly logistics: availability, salary expectations, notice period, and work preferences, along with general cultural-fit questions. The overall feel was fairly normal and “process-y,” and I came away with the sense that they were moving by a clear sequence of screens—technical first, then HR to close it out. I didn’t end up getting an offer.

The most memorable part of my process was the very first round—it was run by an automated AI voice instead of a person. I was told ahead of time that this initial interview would be AI-based, and once it started it asked me about my projects right from the beginning. The tone felt like it was trying to “grill” me through my background, not just gather surface-level details.
After that initial AI check, the next steps were framed as additional coding-focused rounds, but the AI portion was the one that really threw me off. Even when I thought I answered reasonably, it could be difficult for the system to interpret what I meant, especially around how my responses matched what it was looking for. I also remember hearing that they effectively decide whether to move forward after that first AI interaction, and I didn’t get past it.
