What is a Risk Analyst at RBC?
The Risk Analyst role within RBC is a critical position situated inside the Group Risk Management (GRM) division. This division is tasked with providing independent, objective oversight of the significant risks arising from RBC's diverse global businesses and operations. As a Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring that the bank's market exposure, credit risks, and operational vulnerabilities are systematically identified, measured, and mitigated.
Your work directly impacts RBC's financial stability and strategic execution. By producing daily risk reports, investigating limit breaches, and analyzing complex financial instruments, you safeguard the bank’s capital and ensure compliance with stringent global regulatory frameworks. You will collaborate closely with front-office trading desks, investment banking teams, and technology partners to support risk oversight for credit products within Global Spread Products trading and Global Investment Banking underwriting businesses.
This position offers a high-performing environment where you will deal with large quantities of data, interpret profit and loss (P&L) drivers, and contribute to the bank's strategic risk infrastructure.
