A little later, I had more structured screen-style steps that still felt recruiter-led: first a call with a technical recruiter, then a written component, and then two technical rounds. The process moved through a managerial discussion and finally an HR round, so by the end I had spoken to multiple people across different specialties rather than just one interviewer.
