I ended up with a four-round loop. The first two rounds were split between networking-and-troubleshooting style questions and discussion of my domain, with enough time to go deep on how I’d diagnose problems and reason through tradeoffs. It felt like the interviewers were trying to see whether I could connect theory to real-world debugging, not just recite concepts.

The last two rounds were different in tone: they were focused on answering with Amazon-style leadership principles using STAR format. I had to be very deliberate about structuring my stories and hitting the specific behavioral criteria they were listening for. Overall it matched the same pattern from start to finish: technical thinking early, then leadership-principle storytelling later.
