My interview sequence was compact but clear. The first round was a hiring manager conversation with a technical problem to solve. Then I moved into a coding round where I built a UI-based component, using whatever language I preferred.

The final step combined system design at two levels: LLD plus HLD. Even though it was only three rounds, the scope broadened quickly—from solving a technical question, to implementing UI functionality, to designing at both detailed and system levels.

I was contacted by a recruiter and had an intro call to align on the role. From there, I did a hiring manager interview to talk through my previous experiences and the impact I’d had. Then came an onsite that included systems design, a frontend UI interview, and a product sense interview.

The whole process took about five weeks, mostly because I rescheduled a lot due to personal reasons. If I had been able to keep the schedule tight, it seemed like things could’ve moved quicker. Every interview I had felt more like a conversation than an interrogation—you weren’t expected to produce an “optimized” answer on demand, and that made it easier to think out loud.
