What is a UX/UI Designer at Populous?
At Populous, a UX/UI Designer—often aligned with the Experiential Graphic Designer track—occupies a unique and highly collaborative space where digital design meets physical architecture. Unlike traditional software companies where digital interfaces exist solely on personal devices, your work at Populous will shape how millions of people navigate, interact with, and experience some of the world's most iconic sports stadiums, arenas, convention centers, and entertainment districts. You will bridge the gap between digital screen-based interfaces and physical environments to create seamless, immersive brand experiences.
This role is critical to the company's mission of designing places where people love to gather. You will design everything from interactive wayfinding kiosks and stadium-scale digital displays to custom mobile applications and environmental graphics. Your designs must be highly functional, visually stunning, and deeply integrated with the surrounding physical architecture. This requires a deep understanding of user journeys, spatial relationships, and how human behavior changes when navigating massive, high-density physical spaces.
By joining the team at Populous, you will collaborate directly with architects, interior designers, brand strategists, and industrial designers. You will take complex spatial and digital challenges and turn them into intuitive, memorable user experiences. It is a high-impact role where your design decisions will directly influence the atmosphere, accessibility, and excitement of global-scale events and venues.
