Difficult Positive United States

I went through a pretty structured, multi-stage process that felt professional start to finish. It began with a recruiter screen, then I had a conversation with a hiring manager before moving into several technical interviews, a dedicated system design round, and a behavioral interview.

The technical rounds focused on practical engineering rather than trivia. I talked through backend systems and how I approached API design, scalability, reliability, and overall software architecture. What stood out was how much the interviewers followed up on my reasoning, pushing me to explain the design decisions and the trade-offs behind them.

Average Negative Italy

My first step was a CV screening, and then I had a meeting scheduled that was canceled last minute—about twenty minutes before—because the position had already been filled. The recruiter suggested another role, and after I confirmed I was still interested, things went quiet. I didn’t hear anything new until I followed up myself, and then I was told that second role had also been filled.

That pattern repeated itself twice: interviews scheduled, then abruptly canceled when the opportunity had effectively closed. I understood the market was difficult, but the experience felt unnecessarily frustrating because the disruption happened so close to the scheduled times and the replacements were offered when the finish line was already near.
